Our wedding ceremony and reception are at the Fontainebleau Inn in Alpine, NY. It’s a lovely spot in the middle of the country, which means that cellphone reception is iffy at best, and some of the roads around there aren’t paved.

If you’re using a phone for GPS, load the map on your phone while you still have a signal, and don’t take any cars you care about down a road marked “Seasonal Use”. If you have a Jeep or don’t care about the car you’re driving, it could be a great adventure (but allow some extra time in case you get stuck, and pack a change of clothes and a shovel).
